Lead group-rhythm programs with youth

DrumBus Facilitator Opportunity

We’re currently seeking dedicated, compassionate facilitators to lead our programs at partner elementary and middle schools across California and Utah. If you have a background in the arts, education, counseling, or youth development — and a passion for making a meaningful impact — we invite you to bring your strengths to DrumBus.

As a DrumBus Facilitator, you are at the heart of our mission. You will lead group drumming and rhythm-based experiences that engage the whole person — socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically — helping students grow through music, movement, and shared connection.

In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate drum circles and rhythm experiences in school and community settings
  • Create safe, inclusive, and engaging environments where all students feel valued
  • Model collaboration, creativity, and joy through music and shared experience
  • Support student growth in focus, confidence, communication, and connection
  • Adapt and lead with intention, responding to the needs of each group and individual

We provide all of the drums, curriculum, training, and ongoing support — so you can focus on leading meaningful experiences that support student learning and development.

What we’re looking for:

We welcome facilitators from diverse personal and professional backgrounds. You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have experience working with youth — as a teaching artist, educator, counselor, coach, or in a similar role
  • Are dependable, reflective, and committed to professional growth
  • Communicate clearly and bring a calm, grounded presence to group environments
  • Have a background in the arts or rhythm-based practices (a plus, but not required)
  • Value inclusive, relationship-centered learning experiences

Why join DrumBus?

At DrumBus, our facilitators are more than instructors — they are trusted leaders who guide young people toward growth, connection, and confidence. We honor and invest in your work through:

  • Competitive pay
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Comprehensive training and mentorship
  • A supportive team environment that values shared learning and feedback
  • The opportunity to make a lasting difference in young people’s lives and communities
